## Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced BigCommerce developer to migrate our established motorcycle exhaust e-commerce website from the legacy **BigCommerce Default v6.6 (Blueprint) theme** to a modern Stencil theme.

We want to preserve our existing website's appearance, branding, navigation, products, and functionality while improving mobile responsiveness, performance, and compatibility.

**This is a theme migration, NOT a complete redesign or platform change.**

## 1. Theme Migration and Design

- Use the free BigCommerce Cornerstone Light theme or recommend a suitable alternative.
- Preserve our existing logo, colors, branding, homepage, banners, menus, and general appearance.
- Maintain product and category layouts as closely as practical.
- Improve performance and compatibility.
- Deliver a fully responsive website for desktop, tablet, and mobile.

**Mobile optimization is essential**, including navigation, product pages, fitment searches, cart, and checkout.

## 2. Motorcycle Fitment Selector – Search Magic

Our existing "Select Your Ride" motorcycle make/model/year selector is powered by the BigCommerce **Search Magic app ($49/month)**.

- Preserve the existing app and all fitment data.
- Integrate it correctly with the new Stencil theme.
- Ensure accurate motorcycle make/model/year searches.
- Test full functionality on desktop and mobile.

This is an existing third-party app. We are NOT requesting a new fitment system.

## 3. CRITICAL – Google SEO and URL Preservation

**Protecting our existing Google rankings and indexed pages is a top priority.**

The developer MUST:

- Preserve ALL existing product, category, and informational page URLs exactly as they currently exist.
- Preserve SEO titles, meta descriptions, canonical tags, structured data, and existing 301 redirects.
- Maintain internal links, Google Search Console verification, analytics, and sitemap functionality.
- Prevent broken links, duplicate pages, and accidental indexing restrictions.
- Document and audit existing URLs before migration and verify them after launch.
- Obtain written approval before changing ANY existing URL.
- Implement proper 301 redirects if an approved URL change is unavoidable.

The migration must follow SEO best practices to minimize any risk to our established Google traffic. SEO verification must be included in the fixed price.

## 4. Customer Accounts, Checkout, and Integrations

Our current legacy theme has a customer registration issue involving reCAPTCHA.

Requirements:

- Fix customer registration and ensure BigCommerce-supported CAPTCHA protection works correctly.
- Preserve existing customer accounts and order history.
- Verify customer login and account management.
- Preserve and test PayPal and BigCommerce checkout.
- Confirm compatibility with our existing ShipStation integration.
- Test the complete purchase process on desktop and mobile.

## 5. Development, Testing, and Launch

- Develop using an unpublished theme or separate development environment.
- Keep our existing live website operational throughout development.
- Provide a working preview for approval.
- Test navigation, Search Magic, customer accounts, checkout, mobile functionality, and SEO.
- Back up the existing theme and establish a rollback plan.
- Launch ONLY after receiving our written approval.

## 6. Ownership and Post-Launch Support

- Deliver all completed custom theme files and newly developed code.
- Transfer ownership of newly created custom work to IXIL USA upon final payment, excluding third-party licensed components.
- Disclose any additional software or licensing costs before proceeding.
- Include **14 days of post-launch support** to correct migration-related issues involving SEO, links, Search Magic, checkout, customer accounts, or mobile functionality.

## 7. Developer Qualifications and Bidding Requirements

We require demonstrated experience with **BigCommerce Stencil development**, preferably including legacy Blueprint-to-Stencil migrations.

Please include in your proposal:

1. Examples of BigCommerce websites you have developed or migrated.
2. Your experience migrating Blueprint themes to Stencil.
3. Whether you recommend Cornerstone Light or another theme.
4. Confirmation you can preserve existing URLs, SEO, and Search Magic functionality.
5. Your approach to fixing the customer registration/reCAPTCHA issue.
6. Your complete fixed-price quote and estimated completion time.
7. Confirmation that 14 days of post-launch support are included.
