WhatsApp API Business Verification

I need to move our existing Meta Business account all the way to “Verified” so we can finally open the WhatsApp Business API. We are a small team of freelancers in Erbil, Iraq working under one member’s legal name and, at the moment, we have no company registration, tax licence, utility bill, or bank statement in a business name. Because of that, the usual documentation path does not apply to us and the account is still sitting in an unverified state.

Your job is to use your first-hand experience with Meta Business Manager, Facebook Developer Console and the WhatsApp Business Platform to:

• map out exactly which sole-proprietor or personal documents Meta currently accepts in this region,
• prepare and submit those files inside Business Manager, configuring every required field so the details on the documents match the profile,
• handle any follow-up questions from Meta, including a possible appeal, until the green “Verified” badge appears.

The work is finished when the account shows “Business verified” and the WhatsApp API phone number can be requested without additional compliance warnings.
