Project Overview

I’m looking for an experienced Flutter developer to build a polished, lightweight personal finance app for Android and iOS, suitable for commercial release.

The brand name has not been decided. Please use temporary branding during development and make the name, logo, colors, and app identifiers easy to update.

Core MVP Features

- Income and expense tracking, including editing and deleting transactions.
- Multiple accounts or wallets.
- Custom categories and subcategories.
- Monthly budgets with spending progress.
- Recurring transactions and reminders.
- Dashboard with balances, spending summaries, and charts.
- Transaction search and filters.
- CSV import and export.
- Local backup and restore.
- Currency selection.
- Light and dark themes.

Technical Requirements

- Flutter codebase supporting Android and iOS.
- Local-first storage using SQLite/Drift or a suitable alternative.
- No Docker requirement for development, building, or running the app.
- Minimal backend dependencies and operating costs.
- Clean, maintainable code with clear setup documentation.
- Responsive performance across common phone sizes.
- A clean, original UI with a consistent design system.

Cloud sync, subscriptions, receipt scanning, and AI features are optional future enhancements. Please quote these separately from the MVP.

Deliverables

- Complete source code, assets, and dependency/license inventory.
- Working Android APK and release-ready Android App Bundle.
- iOS build and TestFlight delivery under my developer account.
- Setup, build, and release instructions.
- Verification of financial calculations, recurring transactions, CSV import/export, and backup/restore.
- A demonstration and handover session.
- A clearly stated post-delivery bug-fix period.

Any third-party code, assets, or services must be disclosed in advance, with licensing suitable for the intended commercial distribution. Please identify any restrictions or source-disclosure requirements before using them.

Suggested Milestones

1. Confirm scope, architecture, and delivery plan.
2. Approve the UI using temporary branding.
3. Implement transactions, accounts, budgets, and local storage.
4. Complete charts, reminders, import/export, and backups.
