Vertical 2D Skating Episode

I’m producing the very first episode of a vertical 2D animated story built for TikTok and Instagram Reels (9:16). Visually it sits somewhere between clean anime line-work and lively Western cartoons, but always keeps characters expressive, scenes cinematic, and movements believable.

Episode focus
We jump in after the main skating accident. The camera follows his uneasy recovery as friendships shift around him and, most importantly for this chapter, he begins to feel unexpectedly drawn to someone within the group. I want viewers to sense tension and uncertainty rather than outright sadness or hope, so pacing, lighting, and music cues should all lean that way.

Core requirements
• Realistic inline-skating physics even in rehab drills and flashbacks
• Consistent character models throughout shots
• Nuanced facial animation that can carry the story without dialogue
• Day-to-night color transitions that heighten mood
• Only music and foley—no spoken lines or on-screen text
