### Project Overview

I'm an independent filmmaker currently based in Hangzhou, China, working on a narrative short film initiated by international students.

Filming has been completed, and the project is now in post-production. We already have an existing rough cut and are looking for a creative editor to help refine it and bring the story to its full emotional and cinematic potential.

This is not a typical commercial video editing project. It's an independent narrative film that requires an understanding of storytelling, emotional pacing, visual continuity, and cinematic language.

### Scope of Work

We are looking for an editor who can:

1. Review and evaluate the existing rough cut.
2. Improve story structure and narrative flow.
3. Refine emotional pacing and scene transitions.
4. Make thoughtful shot selections.
5. Integrate voiceovers naturally with the visuals.
6. Identify unnecessary scenes or moments that weaken the story.
7. Help establish a cohesive cinematic rhythm.
8. Deliver a polished revised cut.

I'm particularly interested in someone who can contribute creative ideas rather than simply follow technical editing instructions.

### What We're Looking For

* Experience editing narrative short films, independent films, or documentaries.
* Strong storytelling and cinematic editing instincts.
* Good understanding of emotional pacing and visual composition.
* Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro.
* Good English communication skills.
* Ability to discuss creative decisions and provide constructive feedback.
* A portfolio or examples of previous editing work.

Film students and emerging editors with strong creative abilities are also encouraged to apply. Extensive professional experience is not essential if you have strong storytelling instincts and creative potential.
