Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Haking Wong) Department / Section : Department of Business Ref. no : O/HW-BA/PTDE_L(BL)/10/26 Subject Area: Hong Kong Business Legislation (Labour Law) Major Duties: (a) To conduct lectures and workshops / tutorials of the assigned module(s) including the preparation of teaching materials, supervision of students’ projects, marking student assessments and other academic activities; (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning assessment materials; and (d) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. Requirements: (a) A recognised degree in Human Resources, Law or a related discipline, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; (b) At least 5 years’ relevant work experience including at least 3 years’ relevant teaching or management experience; (c) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua; (d) A good team player with a proactive attitude; (e) Preferably with knowledge and experience in curriculum and new module development; and (f) Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies and/or good understanding of VPET education would be an advantage. Notes: (1) Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. (2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and outside campus. (3) Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available.
