Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer

Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tuen Mun) Department / Section : Department of Business Ref. no : O/TM-BA/PTD_L/10/26 Subject Areas: (I) Crisis Management and Negotiation Technique (II) Knowledge Management for Disciplined Services Major Duties: (a) To perform teaching related duties including conducting lectures and seminars, supervision of student’s projects, setting assessment papers, test/exam invigilation, marking students’ assignments and assessment scripts, and other academic activities such as organizing field visits; (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; (d) To carry out departmental administrative duties as assigned by management; and (e) To participate in discipline / campus / departmental meetings, projects and functions, where necessary. Requirements: (a) A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience, working experience in Discipline Services is highly preferred; (c) Experience in teaching the above subject area and similar sub-degree-level programmes is preferred; and (d) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese. Notes: (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. (3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different locations. (4) The appointee(s) will be remunerated in hourly rate.
