職位描述
I’d like a physical architectural model of a Docklands Light Railway station to give my dad for Christmas. He helped build the first DLR scheme, so the piece has to feel authentic, finished to display quality, and sized for a shelf or sideboard. You may choose any one station from the Lewisham, London City Airport or Stratford International extensions—the line you feel will yield the most attractive composition is fine with me.
Scope
• Represent the full station environment: building, platforms, tracks and at least one train.
• Materials are up to you—3-D printed resin, laser-cut acrylic, hand-finished timber, cast metal, mixed media, or a hybrid approach—as long as the final result is sturdy and visually refined.
• I’m open on scale; something in the 1:150–1:87 range usually balances detail and footprint, but you can suggest what best suits your process.
• Lighting or subtle motion (e.g., a slow-moving train) would be a welcome flourish if feasible, though not mandatory.
• Creative interpretation is encouraged; it doesn’t have to be an exact survey replica, but key architectural features and livery colours should be recognisable to anyone who knows the DLR.
Timeline
To arrive before Christmas, please outline your production schedule and the latest safe shipping date from your location to London.
I’m flexible on budget and will fund reasonable material and craftsmanship costs once we agree the approach. Looking forward to seeing how you’d bring a little piece of the DLR to life.
