Laravel + React Developer to Upgrade Affiliate Platform (SSR, Stripe, Scheduled Promoted Ad Spots)

We run an established affiliate marketing website and are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to upgrade the existing platform with server-side rendering, new features, a polished public UI, and a faster, redesigned admin interface.
Current setup:
- Backend: Laravel REST API
- Admin panel: React app, built and deployed as static files
- Public site: React app, built and deployed as static files (client-side rendered only, no SSR)
- Hosting: DreamHost
Scope of work:
1. Server-side rendering for the public site (required)
- Convert the public React app to SSR (e.g., [login to view URL]) for SEO and performance
- Set up hosting and deployment for SSR (e.g., Node on a DreamHost VPS); recommendations welcome
- Keep existing pages, routes, and URLs working, with no SEO loss from the migration
- Proper meta tags, Open Graph data, structured data, sitemaps, and canonical URLs
2. Site search
- Fast, relevant search across products and content
- Filters, sorting, autocomplete, and SEO-friendly search result pages
- Recommendations on search tooling (e.g., Laravel Scout with Meilisearch or Algolia) are welcome
3. Product detail pages (PDP)
- SSR product pages with images, pricing, affiliate links, descriptions, and related products
- Product schema markup for rich search results
- Optimized for speed and Core Web Vitals
4. Private promoter accounts
- Promoters can sign up, manage a profile, and submit or manage their own listings and deals
- Admin approval workflow for promoters and their content
- Promoted placements: promoters book featured spots for specific days and time windows, with an availability calendar, no double-booking, and automatic activation and expiry
- Stripe payments for promoted spots (Checkout, webhooks, refunds, invoices, payment history)
- Promoter dashboard with basic reporting: impressions and clicks
5. Public UI polish
- Refine the design for a clean, modern, consistent look across desktop and mobile
- Improve layout, typography, spacing, loading states, and accessibility
6. Admin interface redesign
- Facelift focused on speed of everyday admin work
- Bulk actions, quick edit, keyboard-friendly workflows, better tables, filters, and search
- New screens to manage promoters, approvals, promoted slots, payments, and reports
7. Scheduling and background jobs (Laravel)
- Laravel scheduler and queues for promoted spot activation and expiry, content publishing, data syncs, and cleanup
- Cron setup on DreamHost, with logging and failure alerts
Requirements:
- Strong Laravel experience: Eloquent, API resources, Sanctum, scheduler, queues and jobs
- Strong React experience, plus proven experience migrating a client-side React app to SSR (ideally [login to view URL]) without hurting SEO
- Experience building search for product or content sites
- Experience with multi-role user systems (admin, promoter, public)
- Hands-on Stripe integration experience, including Checkout and webhooks (Laravel Cashier is a plus)
- Strong UI/UX sense and experience building admin dashboards
- Experience deploying Node/[login to view URL] apps on a VPS (DreamHost experience is a plus)
- Comfortable with Git, pull requests, and writing tests
- Clear communication in English
How we work:
- You'll get access to a private repository and a local or staging setup with sample data.
- Production and project details are shared only after hiring, and an NDA is required.
- Work is split into milestones (e.g., SSR migration → search and product pages → promoter accounts and payments → UI polish → admin redesign), paid per milestone.
- We start with a small paid task to confirm fit.
