Part-Time Full Stack Developer, Stripe & Security Lead - USA ONLY South Florida preferred

Help establish Atlantis's US technical team, working directly with the founder and alongside our existing distributed engineering team. We are seeking a senior, hands-on full stack developer who will own day-to-day Stripe operations and application and infrastructure security as our marina technology platform grows.

This person will be our technical owner for Stripe Connect and security: accountable for identifying risks, coordinating fixes, verifying controls, maintaining clear procedures, and keeping leadership informed. Our existing engineering team will continue contributing to application development. We value respectful collaboration, practical solutions, and shared standards that apply to everyone.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain frontend interfaces, backend APIs, and SQL database integrations.
- Own Stripe Connect integration and technical operations, including connected-account onboarding, payments, platform fees, transfers, refunds, disputes, webhooks, and reliable retry handling.
- Monitor payment workflows, investigate failures, and coordinate reconciliation and resolution.
- Own day-to-day application and infrastructure security, including access reviews, least privilege, credentials, production database access, deployment controls, logging, and alerts.
- Lead security remediation with our engineers, validate safeguards, and maintain incident response and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with our development lead and QA team on implementation, safe testing, code reviews, and production releases.
- Provide concise status reports, prioritized recommendations, and clear technical documentation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Currently based in the United States, with availability during Eastern business hours. South Florida is preferred.
- Strong full stack experience with React, [login to view URL], TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL.
- Direct production experience with Stripe Connect, including connected-account payment flows, transfers, refunds, disputes, webhooks, and idempotency.
- Hands-on application security, cloud permissions, secrets management, database security, and CI/CD experience.
- Ability to investigate issues across the application, database, hosting environment, and payment provider.
- Clear communication and successful collaboration with distributed engineering teams.

Experience with Vercel and Turso/libSQL, SaaS platforms, marketplaces, financial reconciliation, or payment security reviews is preferred.

ENGAGEMENT
Begin with a paid assessment with defined scope and deliverables: review the application and payment environment, verify access, prioritize improvements, and propose an implementation plan. Subsequent development, Stripe operations, security work, and support will be agreed through separate milestones or an ongoing part-time arrangement. Please propose your hourly rate, weekly availability, and initial assessment scope. Hours, fees, and incident-response expectations will be agreed before engagement.

Atlantis retains company account ownership and recovery control, repositories, and final business approval of material financial exceptions and access changes. Sensitive changes require review by someone other than their author, including changes made by this role.
