Duties

Reporting to the Director of Otto Poon Research Institute for Climate-Resilient Infrastructure (RICRI), the appointee will assist to provide a full range of support and services on matters pertinent to the management of the RICRI. The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide executive support to the Director of RICRI in the day-to-day management of RICRI including research administration, office and event management, knowledge transfer and publicity initiatives, etc.;

(b) provide secretarial service to meetings, committees, working groups and taskforces;

(c) foster effective communication and relationship between RICRI and other internal as well as external stakeholders;

(d) supervise and coach supporting staff to achieve operational effectiveness to provide professional administrative support to RICRI; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of RICRI or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree;

(b) have at least five years of relevant administrative experience, preferably gained in tertiary-education institutions;

(c) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;

(d) have good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;

(e) have excellent organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; and

(f) be a good team leader as well as team player with a strong sense of responsibility.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
