Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer (Occupational Safety) Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan) Department / Section : Department of Health and Life Sciences Ref. no : O/CW-HLS/PTD_L(OS)/10/26 Major Duties: (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of students' projects and fieldwork placement; (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and (d) To participate in networking with industry/ industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. Requirements: (a) A recognised degree in Applied Science/ Health and Life Sciences, preferably in Occupational Safety and Health, or related field, and with a postgraduate qualification; (b) Registered Safety Officer in Labour Department; (c) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/ or industry experience; (d) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and (e) Good records of linkage with the industry would be an advantage. Notes: (1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. (2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
