iOS/Android Community Chat App

I need a cross-platform chat app that runs on both iOS and Android. The heart of the product is a single public room—picture a real-time timeline where everyone in the community can talk at once—plus the ability for any two users to slip into private one-on-one conversations.

Account creation must be frictionless: phone number verification with an SMS code is the only authentication flow I want. Inside the chat, users can tap an emoji to leave quick reactions on any message, and I’ll need simple admin controls so I can delete posts, mute or ban users, and keep the space healthy.

Smooth, low-latency messaging, offline handling, and push notifications are all expected. I’m open to Firebase, Supabase, or another real-time backend if it speeds development, and I don’t mind whether you use Flutter, React Native, or native code—as long as the final build ships successfully to both app stores.

Acceptance criteria: phone number sign-up works end-to-end, the public room and private chats deliver messages instantly, reactions appear without noticeable lag, and admin actions perform reliably on my devices.
