The Department of Management (http://www.LN.edu.hk/mgt/) is committed to excellence in teaching, impactful research, and student development. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in management and human resource management, integrating analytics and artificial intelligence into its curriculum to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in Hong Kong’s dynamic business environment and beyond. With faculty recognised for their achievements in research, knowledge transfer, and teaching, the Department welcomes talented individuals to contribute to its vibrant academic community.

The appointee is expected to: (a) publish in internationally recognised, high-quality peer-reviewed journals; (b) actively pursue external research funding through RGC grants and other local or overseas competitive grant schemes and/or fellowship schemes; (c) teach a range of subjects in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as contribute to curriculum development; and (d) undertake administrative duties as assigned by their supervisor(s).

General Requirements
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Management or a related field obtained no more than five years prior to the commencement of the appointment. Applicants should demonstrate a strong research track record, evidenced by high-quality research outputs that meet international standards, together with a clear, well-articulated independent research agenda with strong potential for publications within the appointment period. Strong competitive research grant records and international research collaboration are preferred. Applicants should also possess a high level of proficiency in spoken and written English and demonstrate the ability to deliver effective teaching in English at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Administrative experience in university departments would be a distinct advantage.

Appointment
The conditions of the appointments will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with the applicants’ qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. The initial appointment will normally be made on a fixed-term contract of two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and the availability of funding.
