WordPress Blog Setup & Design

I’m ready to start building a website—specifically, a WordPress blog—and I’d like a skilled developer-designer to take it from blank slate to launch-ready.

What I already have:
• A clear niche and voice for the content.
• Hosting and a domain name ready to go.

What I need from you:
• Install or configure the latest WordPress on my server.
• Recommend and customise a lightweight, responsive theme that matches the tone of the blog.
• Set up core pages (home, blog feed, about, contact) with an intuitive menu and clean layout.
• Configure essential plugins for SEO, security, backups, and performance without bloat.
• Optimise for mobile, speed, and basic on-page SEO best practices.
• Provide a concise hand-off guide so I can publish posts confidently on day one.

Clean code, a user-friendly admin area, and an eye for modern design are important to me. If you have examples of previous WordPress blogs you’ve launched, please share them when you reach out. I’m looking forward to seeing how you can turn this concept into a polished, live site.
