Job Description
I have a PNG artwork that will be printed via DTF at a Medium (up to 30x30 cm) size. Right now the file uses soft gradients that won’t translate well to film, so the task is to strip out those gradients and rebuild the image as a clean, evenly-toned halftone that my DTF RIP can read without visible banding or colour steps.
Key points
• Source file: single-layer PNG.
• Target: press-ready file with all gradients converted or removed so colours lay down in solid, printable dots.
• Final dimensions must hold at the stated medium size without loss of edge clarity.
• Acceptable deliverables: layered PSD or vector AI plus a flattened, transparent-background PNG/TIFF I can drop straight into the RIP.
The finished artwork should preview at 100 % with crisp dot patterns and no muddy transitions. If you normally handle channel separations or use tools such as Photoshop’s Color Halftone, Illustrator’s Raster Effects, or AccuRIP-style screening, mention that in your proposal so I know we’re speaking the same language.
Turnaround is flexible for quality, but I’d like to run the print test within this week.
