[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative and clerical support to the Associate Dean of Students and related student development initiatives;

(b) assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of student programmes, activities and events, including National Education programmes and activities of the PolyU Student Flag-Raising Team;

(c) assist in the administration of student development and recognition programmes, including student leadership awards and other related initiatives;

(d) assist in maintaining student information, records and data, and provide administrative support for student-related schemes and exercises; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.

The appointee may occasionally be required to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong to support student activities and events.

Qualifications

Applicant should:

(a) have a recognised degree, with relevant administrative experience being an advantage;

(b) be proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;

(c) have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d) have good communication and interpersonal skills;

(e) be organised, detail-minded and able to work independently;

(f) be responsible and willing to learn; and

(g) be a good team player.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
