[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will work under the Branding and Marketing Division of the Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office and be required to:

(a) organise and manage marketing events, including banquets, ceremonies, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, networking activities, delegation visits, press conferences, competitions and industry showcases, etc;

(b) provide secretarial and administrative support to the University’s societies, committees and meetings, including preparing papers and minutes;

(c) plan, manage, and create promotional and publicity materials to enhance awareness of the university's entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer initiatives, including developing content for websites, social media, and other marketing channels;

(d) engage with internal and external stakeholders, such as startups, students and academics, to promote knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship development; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.

Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree in a related discipline;

(b) have at least five years of relevant post-qualification working experience, with some experiences in large-scale event management and managing associations;

(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d) be a good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and project management skills; and

(e) be highly motivated and willing to work under tight schedules with positive working attitude.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
