Term Technician

Term Technician Hong Kong Design Institute 部門 : Department of Digital Media 參考編號 : O/DI-DDM/Term_TECH/09/26 Major Duties: (a) To manage Virtual Production Studio and various workshops and prepare training materials, fixtures and equipment for daily operations; (b) To provide technical support and assist in demonstrations for teaching, projects and events; (c) To support, operate and perform maintenance of the equipment for multimedia, video and virtual production operation; (d) To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, equipment and consumables; (e) To maintain the safety and tidiness of the workshops / studios / laboratories; and (f) To provide technical assistance in campus activities. Requirements: (a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Multimedia, Film, Technical Arts, or equivalent; (b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience; (c) Solid experience in one or more of the following areas: broadcasting, console studio lighting, video mapping, LED wall setup, video editing and AI; (d) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (e) Good communication skills, able to work independently, self-motivated and be a good team player; and (f) Good knowledge of common computer / educational software, lighting and audio setup, lighting console programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking would be an advantage. Notes: (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. (3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and / or outside normal office hours.
