About Us

We are an established dog supply e-commerce business offering dog training equipment, accessories, toys, grooming products, and other canine essentials. We are preparing our online store for Black Friday and are seeking an experienced Shopify product listing specialist to help us update, organize, and professionally present our inventory.

Project Scope & Product Count

This project includes approximately 200–300 unique products (parent product listings) in Shopify.

Product variants are NOT included in the 200–300 product count.* Each parent product may have multiple variations, such as sizes, colors, or styles, and all applicable variants must be created and configured as part of the project.

For Example ...
- A dog collar available in 4 sizes and 3 colors counts as ONE product, even though it has 12 variants.
- A dog toy available in 3 sizes counts as ONE product, even though it has 3 variants.
- A shampoo available in only one size counts as ONE product, with no additional variants.

The freelancer will be responsible for accurately configuring all applicable variants, including individual SKUs, UPCs/barcodes, pricing, inventory quantities, and corresponding product images where available.

We will provide a complete Excel inventory spreadsheet no later than November 13, 2026, containing product names, brands, SKUs, UPCs, pricing, inventory quantities, and other available details.

Responsibilities

- Review existing Shopify listings and update products where necessary to avoid duplicate listings.
- Research product details using manufacturer websites, UPCs, SKUs, and reliable supplier sources.
- Source high-quality manufacturer product images authorized for commercial use.
- Standardize product images for a clean, uniform appearance throughout the store.
- Write professional, consistent, customer-friendly product descriptions.
- Create and update Shopify product listings, including all applicable size, color, and other variants.
- Accurately enter product pricing, SKUs, barcodes, inventory quantities, weights, and specifications.
- Assign products to appropriate collections and apply relevant tags.
- Optimize product titles, descriptions, and metadata for SEO.
- Review all completed listings for accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

- Proven experience managing Shopify product catalogs.
- Proficiency with Shopify CSV imports, bulk editing, and product variants.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience researching product information and sourcing manufacturer images.
- Basic image editing and formatting experience.
- Excellent written English and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, communicate progress, and meet strict deadlines.

Project Budget & Payment

This is a fixed-price project. We are not considering hourly billing.

Please submit your total project price for completing up to 300 unique parent products, including all associated variants.

Your fixed-price proposal must include all applicable size, color, and style variants without additional per-variant charges. Any proposed changes to the agreed scope must be approved in writing before additional charges are incurred.

Payment will be structured around the following milestones:

1. Milestone 1 — 10%: First 10 products completed and approved, establishing formatting, image, and description standards.
2. Milestone 2 — 30%: First 100 products completed and approved (cumulative).
3. Milestone 3 — 30%: First 200 products completed and approved (cumulative).
4. Milestone 4 — 30%: All remaining products completed, corrections addressed, and final quality review approved.

Milestone payments will be released upon verification and approval of completed work.

Each completed product must include all applicable variants and required listing information to qualify toward the milestone count.

Project Timeline & Deadlines

November 10, 2026 — Project Begins

Freelancer receives appropriate Shopify access, reviews the existing product catalog, and begins establishing product formatting and presentation standards.

November 13, 2026 — Inventory Spreadsheet Provided

Our team will provide the complete inventory spreadsheet containing the products and applicable variants to be uploaded or updated.

November 14, 2026 — Initial Product Approval

The first 10 sample product listings must be completed and submitted for review and approval. These listings will establish the standard for product images, descriptions, formatting, and overall presentation.

November 22, 2026 — Mandatory Project Completion

All product listings, images, descriptions, variants, pricing, inventory updates, and corrections must be completed and ready for final approval.

The November 22 deadline is firm and non-negotiable, due to our Black Friday promotional schedule. Applicants must confirm their ability to meet this deadline before accepting the project.

Brief daily progress updates will be required beginning November 14, including the number of completed parent products, outstanding products, and any issues requiring attention.

Important Project Details

This project focuses exclusively on Shopify product catalog management and optimization, not website redesign.

Our team will independently handle website navigation, homepage design, promotional campaigns, and overall store layout.

We will provide the inventory spreadsheet and appropriate Shopify collaborator access.

New product listings must remain unpublished until approved. Existing product listings should not be substantially altered or removed without approval.

All completed work must meet agreed-upon quality standards, including:

- Consistent product image dimensions and professional presentation.
- Accurate product descriptions and specifications.
- Correct pricing, inventory, SKUs, and barcodes.
- Properly configured product variants.
- Consistent product categorization, tags, and SEO information.
- No duplicate listings or unnecessary product duplication.
