職位描述
I need a reliable script that pulls information from batches of PDFs and scanned documents—each with different layouts—and places the extracted values neatly into an Excel workbook. The files won’t follow a single template, so the solution has to recognise varying field positions, handle simple tables when they appear, and cope with common scanning imperfections.
Your code should:
• Detect whether text is selectable or requires OCR, then apply the appropriate method.
• Map the captured data to the correct Excel columns regardless of layout differences.
• Run in a single click (command-line or small GUI), processing an entire folder and appending to an .xlsx output.
• Log any pages it can’t interpret so I can review them manually.
Python is my preferred stack, and I’m comfortable installing Tesseract, pdfplumber, PyPDF2, pandas, or similar libraries you recommend. Deliver both the source code and a short README explaining dependencies, configuration, and how to extend the field-mapping logic for new document types.
I’ll consider the job complete when I can point the script at a sample folder of mixed PDFs, watch it generate the Excel file without errors, and see at least 95 % of fields captured accurately.
