Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative support for the operation of the PolyU International Summer School, including programme development, course administration, and planning events and activities related to the programme, etc.;

(b) support the outreach and promotion of the programme;

(c) liaise with academic units, students and applicants to administer the programme;

(d) perform data entry, update database and website, and compile statistical reports;

(e) provide ongoing support for the inbound exchange programmes;

(f) handle written and walk-in/telephone enquiries;

(g) assist in departmental office administration; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Engagement or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably with not less than two years of administrative experience in related areas of work;

(b) good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills;

(c) a commitment to provide excellent customer service;

(d) good hands-on computer skills; and

(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
