Civil Engineer Required – Warehouse Development, Portland VIC

Project location: TBA

Building: 30 m × 16.5 m (495 m²) steel warehouse, Class 7b storage.

We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to prepare the necessary civil engineering designs, drawings and calculations for our warehouse development to satisfy Glenelg Shire Council’s planning permit conditions and relevant Victorian requirements.

Scope of Work

Stormwater Drainage
Stormwater management and drainage design.
On-site stormwater detention system, including assessment of a proposed 10,000 L tank.
Drainage calculations, discharge points and connection requirements.
Site Levels and Earthworks
Site grading and finished surface levels.
Surface water runoff management.
Earthworks and drainage requirements.
Car Parking and Vehicle Access
Car park layout, levels and gradients.
Driveway and vehicle access design.
Accessible parking requirements where applicable.
Proposed 6 m wide crossover.
Roadworks and Council Requirements
Review planning permit conditions relating to roadworks, kerb and channel, crossover and drainage.
Prepare any necessary civil engineering plans for council approval.
Engineering Documentation
Civil engineering drawings and supporting calculations.
Documentation suitable for submission to Glenelg Shire Council.
Engineering certification where required.
Reasonable amendments in response to council feedback.

Requirements

Appropriate Victorian professional engineering registration for the work undertaken.
Experience with Victorian council approvals and commercial/industrial developments.
Professional indemnity insurance.
Ability to provide engineering drawings and calculations accepted by the relevant authorities.
