Web Application Functional & Performance Testing

I have a browser-based product that is feature-complete but still unproven in the wild. Before I release it, I need a meticulous round of software testing that covers two fronts:

• Functional testing – confirm every user flow behaves as designed, edge-cases are handled gracefully, and regression risks are caught early.
• Performance testing – measure load times, stress the API, identify bottlenecks, and tell me exactly how many concurrent users the current build can support before degradation shows.

You are free to choose the right tools; Selenium or Playwright for functional automation and JMeter, Gatling, or similar for the load work make sense, but I am open to other suggestions if you can justify them.

Please provide the following deliverables:
1. A concise test plan outlining scenarios, data sets, and tooling.
2. Executed test cases with pass/fail evidence (screenshots, logs, HAR files where relevant).
3. A performance report summarising methodology, metrics, graphs, and clear recommendations.
4. A prioritised defect list with reproduction steps and severity ratings.

All findings should be reproducible on a clean environment and traceable back to the original requirement or user story. I can spin up a fresh staging server for you and will supply credentials and API keys once we agree to start.
