Duties
(a) to assist in organising various celebration and community activities including coordinating with government departments and non-government organisations;
(b) to assist in computer data inputting and liaison work;
(c) to assist in office administration, personnel and accounting matters;
(d) to assist in drawing up sketches, printing and putting up table/seat labels, arranging souvenirs, handling inventories and stores, etc;
(e) any other duties as assigned including delivery of materials and outdoor duties; and
(f) if necessary, will be required to work outside normal office hours including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have –
(a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent (Note 1) or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (Note 2), or equivalent; or
(ii) Level 2 (Note 3) / Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) (Note 2), or equivalent;
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 (Note 3) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent;
(c) a minimum of two year’s full-time clerical or secretarial working experience;
(d) good computer knowledge including proficiency of MS Word and Excel; and
(e) Chinese word processing speed of 20 words per minute and English word processing speed of 30 words per minute. Suitable candidates may be required to attend a typing speed test.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 9-12 months. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
Benefits
(a) In addition to statutory holidays, 12 days paid annual leave, maternity leave and sickness allowance will be granted to the candidates appointed. Details of which will be confirmed at the time of the offer of appointment.
(b) A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

(b) Candidates should state clearly in their applications their full record of employment, academic qualifications and Chinese and English languages.
(c) Applications which are incomplete or submitted in person, by post, by fax or by e-mail, or without the required supporting documents will not be considered.
(d) Candidates who are invited for selection interview will be required to produce the original copies of the official transcripts, certificates and proof of relevant working experience for verification. The application will be deemed unsuccessful if any applicant fails to produce the original copies of the required documents for verification.
(e) An invitation to the recruitment interview does not imply that the candidate has met the entry requirements of the post.
(f) As invitations or notifications may be sent to candidates by email, candidates should provide a clear and accurate email address in their application. Candidates are held responsible for checking their own emails to ensure that invitations or notifications are duly received.
(g) Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about six weeks from the closing date for application. Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
Application Notes
(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(g) Holders of academic qualifications other than those obtained from Hong Kong institutions/Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority may also apply but their qualifications will be subject to assessments on equivalence with the required entry qualifications.
